Legal environment and relevant regulations for trading in investment gold
According to Section 9/A. (1) of Act CLXIV of 2005 on Trade, trading in investment gold is permitted by the Supervisory Authority for Regulated Activities (hereinafter: SZTFH). Trading in investment gold may only be carried out by a legal entity whose beneficial owner or executive officer has a good reputation pursuant to Act LIII of 2017 on the Prevention and Suppression of Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing.
Trading in investment gold may only be carried out in the form of trading in a business. If, in addition to trading in investment gold, other products are also traded in the business, the trading activity of these products shall be subject to the provisions of Act CLXIV of 2005 on Trade. The general rules of the Act and the regulations issued for its implementation are the guiding principles. Further conditions for licensing are contained in Decree 2/2026. (II. 3.) We are licensed to trade in investment gold. In accordance with the applicable laws, we have two types of Internal Anti-Money Laundering Regulations, which are approved by the authorities. In compliance with our legal obligation, for purchase amounts exceeding HUF 300,000 or HUF 4.5 million, we copy the Buyer's documents, store them for the required period, and perform mandatory customer due diligence.
