A decorative egg made of 14 K rose gold, raised on a disk-shaped pedestal, with a transparent, bright green luster enamel surface. With openwork, gilded silver appliqués, and small, faceted diamonds. Under the hinged opening egg lid, a silver elephant figure decorated with blue-green luster enamel, smaller, cabochon-cut rubies, and white luster enamel with an opal effect underneath. Gross weight: 805 grams. Dimensions: 19.5 x d:7.6 cm. Marked: 56 Zolotnyik gold fineness hallmark, used between 1908-26 (St. Petersburg), with a Cyrillic Fabergé hallmark.
