On the front, the archbishop's coat of arms in an ornate coat of arms, in the circular inscription: Johann Ernestus, the Archbishop of Salzburg by the grace of God, the envoy of the Apostolic See. On the reverse side, St. Rupert holding a salt container on the left, St. Virgil and the church of St. Peter's Abbey in Salzburg on the right, in the circular inscription: St. Rupert and Virgil, the patron saints of Salzburg.
