Late Gothic / early Renaissance fire-gilded copper lidded wafer cup (ciborium). Round base, spherical body riveted on a decorated node, removable lid with a Gothic bastion and a cast, chiseled Latin cross. Impressive 15th - 16th century, presumably French goldsmith's work. Height: 32.5 cm.
