Brass frame with bone-covered body, mother-of-pearl and amber inlaid beetle - insect decorations. 7 x 4 x 10.5 cm. Marked: in a scratched square field with a calligraphic Japanese maker's mark: Shibayama school (became famous for its unique inlay technique). Hungarian-Japanese, early 20th century. Works. The bone covering has hairline cracks in some places.
