OBVERSE: LVDOVICVS D G R VNGARIE (Ludovicus Dei gratia rex Ungarie, King Louis of Hungary by the grace of God). Madonna with an open crown in an inner circle of pearls with the baby Jesus on her right, a crescent moon below, a Polish eagle at the bottom.

REVERSE: S LADISLAVS REX 1518 (Sanctus Ladislaus rex, King Saint László). King Saint László in knight's armour, in his right hand a long-handled hatchet, in his left a cross-bearing orb.
